I’ve been living in some version of the old money aesthetic for a few falls now, and I keep coming back to it for one reason: it just works with real life. Camel coats, cable knits, loafers, pieces that look put together whether you’re at school drop-off or grabbing coffee between errands.
A lot of the outfit lists out there are clearly styled for photoshoots, not for someone who has to buckle a car seat three times a day. So while pulling this one together, I kept moms in mind, what actually survives a full day, where I’d swap heels for flats, that kind of thing.
